Bringing Clean Water to Zhongwei, China
Sunshine Heroes partnered with Yangfan Foundation to provide clean water access to children attending 50 boarding schools in Zhongwei, China. Zhongwei is located in the desert region of the Ningxia Province. The local people live on an estimated annual income of $535 per household. Without access to clean water for most of the year, individuals living in this area suffer greatly from drinking contaminated water. Working with a local Chinese organization, Sunshine Heroes was able to install clean water filters in several schools. With the installation of these machines, it is estimated that 30,000 children will be provided with access to safe drinking water each year.
