Tanima & Mana, Mali
In 2009, Sunshine Heroes Foundation supported Mali Rising Foundation to build our first Sunshine Children's Center in the village of Mana, Mali. Mali Rising Foundation is committed to making education a reality for children in rural areas of Mali, West Africa by providing proper facilities and educational materials, training teachers, and improving existing educational institutions. Within this Sunshine Children’s Center, children are taught life skills and armed with knowledge that gives hope for a brighter future.
In 2010, we again partnered with Mali Rising Foundation to build a second Sunshine Children's Center in Tanima, Mali. This center is also a much needed school. Together, these two centers have enrolled nearly two thousand students.
